My sister was a top tattoo artist.
Without knowing it, she had unlocked a hidden family skill and the woman tattooed on pigskin became a popular superstar.
But this superstar not only crushed her paintbrushes, tempted her husband and took her place, she also murdered our parents.
“I was made by you, so let me fully take your place!”
Feeling my sister’s disaster from abroad, I came back home and took the three tattoos she had left for me.
I turned into a thin mist and went into the first faceless tattoo, right away becoming a rich and graceful woman.
A familiar sound reached my ears. “Mom, I want a divorce from Vespera Prescott!”
I raised my hand and slapped his face hard.
“Divorce is fine, but you leave with nothing and I will be given to your daughter-in-law!”
——
The clear sound of the slap rang through the living room.
Everyone froze from the sudden slap.
Shoulders pulled in, necks tucked back, eyes wide with fear. Samuel Callaghan covered his face, looking at me with shock.
Since he took charge of the Callaghan Corporation, nobody had dared to touch him for a very long time.
Especially today, it was Grandpa Adam Callaghan’s seventieth birthday, right in front of a room full of guests.
The well-known actress Amara Lockwood, in a bare-shoulder dress, looked at Samuel with worry, holding his shoulder.
She turned toward me with dislike.
“Even if you are Samuel’s mother, he is now the real leader of the Callaghan Corporation. How can you treat him with such disrespect?”
My eyes stared at her coldly.
“This is the Callaghan Family house. Who do you think you are, daring to speak to me like that?”
As soon as I finished talking, several uniformed bodyguards stepped ahead, staring at her with threat.
Amara’s confidence dropped instantly and she pulled at Samuel’s arm. “I…I am Samuel’s girlfriend…”
“Ha!” I laughed coldly. “I didn’t know the law now lets men have many wives and side women?”
“You really know how to praise yourself. A shameless mistress dares to call herself a girlfriend!”
Amara’s face quickly turned dark and ugly and she pointed at Vespera, who stood next to me, quiet and obedient.
“Samuel had first planned to marry me, but she has been taking my spot!”
I lifted one brow. “First planned? So you haven’t married him yet? We can talk when you truly have the power to marry into the family!”
“I…” Amara was left with no words and could only beg Samuel. “Samuel, say something!”
Samuel, recovering from the slap, fixed his clothes and repeated his old excuse, “Mom, Vespera and I truly have no feelings for each other anymore!”
I pointed at Vespera’s pregnant womb.
“No feelings? Then you made her pregnant?”
“I was drunk…” Samuel tried to protect himself.
I slapped him again with my other hand. “Being drunk doesn’t mean you can behave like a dirty animal! What is the difference between you and a beast?”
Samuel, after getting slapped twice, was now very angry.
“Mom, don’t forget, I am the one running the family now!”
“My marriage should be my own choice. I want a divorce!”
The mood in the living room became tight at once.
I stayed quiet for a long time, then nodded. “Divorce is fine, but you leave with nothing and everything will go to Vespera!”
“How can that be!” Samuel spoke right away. “Mom, are you confused? I am your son!”
I looked straight into his eyes, my stare turned cold.
“I don’t have a cold-blooded son like you!”
When these words came out, everyone gasped.

Samuel’s carefully built front of pride, class and power broke apart at once.
His look, held back but strong, stayed on me, showing his barely held anger.
After a long stop, he cooled his anger.
“Today is Grandpa’s birthday. I do not want to ruin his fun. We will talk about the divorce later!”
Then, he wrapped his arm around Amara’s waist and openly introduced her to the family’s business guests.
He was using a quiet, planned move to go against me.
My sister lowered her head, touched her stomach and cried in silence.
I held her hand and walked toward the Callaghan Family elders, loudly telling them.
“Vespera is carrying our Callaghan Family’s thirty-seventh generation child...”
One sentence cleared my sister’s name.
Samuel, who had been proud and bold just moments ago, froze while raising his glass to the guests.
Amara bit her lip, looking at me with a deeply wronged look.
The dinner ended and we went back to the family’s old house.
Amara and Samuel arrived first. Amara took over her sister’s and Samuel’s shared home and told the helper to move all of my sister’s things into the next room.
“Who gave you the right to touch my things?”
My sister rushed forward, guarding her belongings and asked angrily.
The nanny moved aside and Amara stepped ahead with her arms folded.
“Samuel said that starting today, you sleep in another room.”
“There is no space for you in this home anymore. If you keep staying, you sleep with the dog!”
I moved ahead and told the nanny.
“Put her things back where they were!”
“It is Samuel’s idea...” Amara tried to use Samuel to push me.
“I said put them back where they were!” I said, saying every word clearly.
The nanny didn’t dare refuse and quickly fixed my sister’s things and put them back in the first room.
Amara’s face became very dark.
“You can choose if Samuel gets a divorce or not, but can you choose who he sleeps with?”
I gave a cool, mocking smile.
“I can choose to throw you out of this home right now!”
“Guards, toss her out! Don’t let her dirty my floor!”
The bodyguards answered, holding Amara’s arms on both sides, trying to pull her away.
Amara became scared and quickly shouted into the room.
“Samuel, Samuel, your mother is throwing me out!”
The noise of running water inside the room stopped.
Samuel came out wearing a black robe.
“Mom, I can agree to your demand to not get divorced, but Amara must be the woman in charge of this house from now on!”
I corrected him. “You’re wrong! I didn’t tell you to stay married!”
“You can get divorced if you want, but you must give up your shares!”
Samuel’s face changed.
“Mom, am I no longer your son? Are you really taking my shares away for an outsider? Grandpa would not accept that!”
I spoke calmly, “You’re thinking too much. Your grandfather has more than one grandson. Your two uncles would happily push you out of the company.”
“Trust it or not, if I nod, they will immediately call a shareholders' meeting to remove you from the company and then pick someone from your age group to take your place!”
Samuel inherited the Callaghan Family business, not due to his place as the oldest grandson of the Callaghan Family.
It was because half of the Callaghan Family's power was built by my father and me!
“But I am the only person who is truly your birth son!” Samuel tried to remind me.
I narrowed my eyes at him. “Who cares whether they’re birth children or not, as long as the chosen person listens!”
Samuel breathed in, clenching his teeth. “Your need to control others is really shocking!”
I stated it clearly, “My need to control comes from your foolishness!”

Samuel’s own skills were far too weak to persuade the board of directors.
Marrying my sister was a trick to use her status as the oldest daughter of the Prescott Family to lock in my role inside the Callaghan Group.
Now, with backing from his wife’s father, he became the next in line of the Callaghan Group and now he wanted to abandon my sister to chase real love.
There was no such thing as an easy gain.
My sister wasn’t fighting for anything, but I had to seek fairness for her.
I took my sister to the hospital for a pregnancy check and we happened to meet Samuel with Amara outside the OB-GYN.
Amara, holding a pregnancy test showing two lines, walked proudly toward us in her high heels.
“I’m pregnant as well!”
“Grandpa said his shares will only go to his first great-grandson.”
“As for who gives birth to Grandpa’s great-grandson, that depends on luck!”
My sister’s eyes turned red instantly.
She lowered her head, her shoulders shaking a little.
Samuel had no love for her, but she had feelings for him; otherwise, she would never have agreed to the arranged wedding at the start.
Her husband had taken his lover to the hospital for a pregnancy check.
The mistress even walked over to her and tried to upset her.
How could she not feel hurt?
The announcement started calling numbers and Amara proudly hooked her arm through Samuel’s arm, turned around and walked into the examination room.
My sister leaned back on the cold metal chair, her hands tightly clenched, staying quiet.
I asked her, “Do you want a divorce?”
My sister shook her head. “No, the Prescott Family has already been joined with the Callaghan Family. My parents worked for their whole lives inside the Callaghan Family. If I divorce now, it means giving up everything!”
I nodded. “Then don’t divorce. I have a way to make him hand over everything that belongs to you, principal and interest!”
My sister shook her head and looked at me in shock.
She likely never thought that I, as Samuel’s mother, would say something like this.
After the pregnancy check, the driver took us back home.
Samuel, using pregnancy care as an excuse, forced Amara to move into the Callaghan Family’s old house.
Also, the room was set right next to my sister’s. Late at night, my sister could even hear the two of them moaning.
“Sister Vespera, I have thought it over. Since we both love Samuel, why can’t we live together calmly?”
“From now on, we will stay under the same roof, so please look after me well!”
“To show that I mean it, this is a present for you. You won’t mind, right?”
The box opened, showing a sandalwood bracelet.
“Sandalwood helps calm the body and is good for the fetus. Here, let me put it on you myself!”
In the living room, Amara held my sister’s hand and strongly pushed the bracelet onto her wrist.
My sister tried to pull away, but she couldn’t fight Amara’s strength.
“Stop!” I came down the spiral staircase and stopped Amara.
“This is a very nice gift for Sister Vespera!” Amara explained.
I moved closer step by step, grabbed the bracelet from Amara’s hand and tossed it into the trash bin.
“Hey, this is a sandalwood bracelet!” Amara quickly tried to stop me.
I turned toward her and stared at her hard.
“Sandalwood or scent powder?”
Amara felt a brief flash of guilt, then quickly acted boldly. “I got it from a church, so of course it is sandalwood…”
I cut her off right away. “Should I have it checked?”
Amara swallowed the rest of her excuse.
“Wearing scent powder for a long time can cause a pregnancy loss, don’t you even know such simple common knowledge?”
Amara let out a low laugh, her tone meant to provoke.
“So what if I know?”
“I want her unborn baby to die!”
“No one will take even one thing from my son or me!”

I raised one eyebrow. “So, you made Samuel divorce Vespera without planning to keep any of her assets?”
“Of course!” Amara lifted her chin. “I killed her parents. Why would a woman like her need that much money?”
I tightened my eyes. “You killed Vespera’s parents?”
Amara laughed. “To be clear, Samuel and I killed them together. That fool Vespera does not even know!”
“Very good!”
I raised my hand and slapped her face. “Go kneel and say sorry!”
Footsteps sounded at the door.
Amara, slapped, rushed into Samuel’s arms when he walked in.
“Samuel, your mother hates me! She wants to hit me and kill the baby in my womb!”
Samuel looked at me with doubt.
“Mom, I know you dislike Amara, but she is pregnant now and the baby is your grandson! How can you be so heartless?”
“Am I heartless, or is she?”
I pointed at the sandalwood beads inside the trash bin.
“She gave a scent powder bracelet to Vespera, trying to hurt the baby in Vespera’s belly!”
Samuel froze, then turned to look at Amara with shock.
Even though he had no love for my sister, the baby in her stomach was still his own child.
He had warned Amara long ago that women could argue all they wanted, but they could not hurt a baby.
Amara, of course, knew Samuel cared about the baby, so she quickly explained, “That bracelet was something I took from a church; maybe the priests gave me the wrong one!”
Samuel trusted her without doubt.
“Mom, Amara did not do it on purpose; she cannot even tell the difference between sandalwood and scent powder!”
Watching the two of them acting like partners and remembering what Amara had said before.
When the Prescott Family's finances were in trouble, my parents left suicide notes and both ended their own lives.
Everyone said they couldn’t accept the business loss, but it turned out these two had planned the takeover of the Prescott Family business, pushing them to their deaths.
Thinking about this, my blood burned, but I could only hold it down.
Still, I suddenly changed my thinking.
Now, I not only wanted to help my sister take back the whole Prescott Family business, but I also wanted these two to kneel and say sorry to my parents.
Thinking this way, I simply spoke, “Since you trust her that much, then I show you who she really is!”
After that, I turned and went upstairs.
My older sister was one month behind Amara in pregnancy, but both of them went into labor at the same time.
The nanny hurried upstairs to tell me. “Ma’am, Vespera is about to give birth!”
My face froze. “Hurry and call the driver to take her to the hospital!”
The nanny’s voice shook. “Amara went into labor before the young lady and the driver already took her there!”
“The remaining cars in the house have no fuel and our phones cannot make calls!”
“The bodyguards are blocking the door, saying…saying nobody is allowed to leave the old house!”
I stopped for a moment. “Is this Samuel’s order?”
The nanny lowered her head and quietly agreed.
No, no, this was clearly Amara’s command; Samuel only acted as an accomplice.
Amara wanted my sister and her unborn baby to lose their lives together.
The phone couldn’tt place calls; the signal was clearly blocked.
I quickly checked the whole house and discovered a signal blocker inside Amara’s bedroom, then pulled it out.
After that, I quickly called 911, the police emergency line and asked officers to come to the house and take my sister to the hospital to deliver the baby.
At the same moment, I sent several of my most trusted bodyguards to the hospital to protect my sister.
After finishing all of this, I remained in the old house and quietly walked down to the basement, which was covered in deep red light.
In the basement, there was a cage and inside that cage sat a woman who looked the same as me.
She was Samuel’s true mother.
Sadly, her arms and legs were tied, her mouth was gagged and she was trapped inside a cage built from special materials, unable to make any noise.
I sat across from the cage and pulled open a drawer from an old mahogany bookcase.
I took out the second face cover that my sister had given me.
At the hospital, Amara’s child was delivered.
Samuel felt excited. “Hurry, bring it over so I can look!”
The doctors shook with fear, but they still gathered their nerve and passed the baby to Samuel.
Samuel smiled as he held the baby, but then his face changed fast as he tossed the child away.
He asked in panic, “What… what on earth is this thing?”
